The Australian Childcare Alliance (ACA) is a not-for-profit, member-funded organisation advocating for the future of Australia's children.
We work on behalf of long day care owners and operators to ensure families and their children have an opportunity to access affordable, high quality early learning services throughout Australia.
As part of the provider transition process, early learning service providers will need to complete their PRODA registration.
This includes completing the on-line transition form. You will be asked to activate, register and set up your child care software, and then provide your child care software provider with an Activation Code, along with your CCS Provider ID and CCS Person ID.
If you have started this process some time back and generated a PRODA Activation Code, you may find that the code has expired and no longer works.
Key personnel will need to be registered with PRODA, as nominated by the service owner(s) or management.
The Department of Education and Training has produced a fact sheet explaining which personnel will need to register with PRODA.
You can read the fact sheet here.
Under the new legislation, providers will be required to undertake a number of checks, for example, criminal history checks, for all personnel added to their organisation and these checks must be dated no more than six months prior to the date the individual was added.
This requirement is in Section 55 of the Child Care Minister’s Rules 2017 (the Minister’s Rules).
The Department of Training and Education (DET) has produced a step-by-step guide to show early learning services how to view the enrolment status of their families.

We've put together a checklist of items that your early learning service should be ticking off to ensure that you are ready for the transition to the new Child Care Subsidy on 2 July 2018.
