As the very first step towards transitioning to the new Child Care Subsidy, all early learning service providers should have now received an email from the Department of Education and Training (DET), titled "Important information about your Child Care Subsidy transition", which explains everything you need to do to receive your new CCS approval numbers so that you and your services can be transitioned to the CCS. This email was sent out in mid May. However this information is also covered on the DET website here.
Service providers should have also received a "Transition Pack" which was sent to the service provider's mailing address. DET mailed them as "Signature on delivery" - if the addressee was not available at the time of delivery, Australia Post will have left a card asking for the pack to be collected and signed for at the local post office.
The Transition Pack contains very important information about how to transition to the new Child Care Subsidy System, including the instructions needed to complete the online Transition Form. Once the online Transition Form has been completed, service providers will receive their CCS approval numbers, and will be able to:
- check and update their service details and family enrolment information; and
- link personnel to their provider and service approvals
If you have not received your Transition Pack yet, please contact Australia Post to follow up in the first instance. if there is still a problem after checking with Australia Post, please contact the CCMS Helpdesk on 1300 667 276 and ask for the pack to be resent via email. For secturity reasons, the pack can only be sent to the service provider's nominated financial email address.
We would recommend that you link your key personnel to PRODA as soon as possible, as you will need to do this by 2 July and the process includes undertaking a number of checks, for example criminal checks dated no more than 6 months prior.
