What do we do?

As the national peak body for early learning services, the Australian Childcare Alliance (ACA) strives to advocate on behalf of Australian families and our members Australia-wide, whilst also supporting the ACA State Bodies in delivering member value.

Our advocacy

 ACA’s advocacy work includes:

  • regular engagement with members to identify emerging trends and major issues affecting their delivery of early learning services
  • regular research and analysis of issues affecting the early learning sector, including government policy and legislation
  • actively responding to critical issues that impact the quality of early learning services that our members provide, as well as the viability of the long day care sector
  • active engagement with government to lobby for the best outcome in the provision of high quality, affordable, sustainable and accessible early learning services

Our member support

When you become an ACA member, you join our supportive network, gaining access to a range of services and expert advice that will assist you in providing high-quality Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC).

At the national level, we advocate on your behalf by frequently engaging with the Federal Government on critical national issues impacting our members.

At the state level in addition to our advocacy on your behalf with the relevant State Governments, we offer you a wealth of networking and professional development opportunities via our sector-specific events, along with expert policy, business and industrial relations support, regular sector news updates and member-exclusive discounts on suppliers to the ECEC sector.
