ACA/Child Care Super Partnership

The Australian Childcare Alliance (ACA) has proudly partnered with Child Care Super to address a serious issue - many Australian women are not on track to have adequate superannuation (super) funds to retire comfortably.

We know it can be tough to save money into your superannuation account with all of the other daily expenses of life to deal with. It’s easy to think of your retirement as something to sort out later.

That’s why Child Care Super has created SUPERSUPER™ - the first award-winning rewards program helping Australian families to save more to their super, every day, without increasing their cost of living.

Instead of putting off saving into your super account, you can use SUPERSUPER to get ahead of the game - just by doing your every day shopping.

ACA recognises the SUPERSUPER program for its ingenuity in harnessing support from retailers to help Australians increase their super funds.

We strongly encourage ACA members and their teams of staff to take advantage of this shop-and-save super rewards program – in short, instead of getting random points that you’ll probably never use, when you shop from the hundreds of retailers with SUPERSUPER, you get rewarded with money going straight into your super account

The Facts

  • Women currently retire with 47% less superannuation than men
  • Women live five years longer than men on average
  • Women only receive 1/3 of the government tax concessions on super (men receive the other 2/3)

So what exactly is SUPERSUPER?

SUPERSUPER is a shop-and-save super rewards program provided by Child Care Super, which lets you add more to your super every day without having to do anything extra.

The team at Child Care Super have partnered with hundreds of retailers including your favourite brands, so that when you shop you get rewarded with money going straight into your super account. You increase your super funds whenever you shop… and retire richer – it’s that easy!

If I join SUPERSUPER, how much could it affect my super total at retirement?

Thanks to the magic of compound returns, small regular amounts added to your super can add up to thousands of extra dollars over time.

For example – Claire is 34 years old, earns $34k a year and has a current super balance of $18k. She is currently projected to retire with a super balance of $141k, which is not great.

However if Claire was to spend what she normally does using SUPERSUPER for a quarter, half or all of her shopping (without spending any more than she already does), Claire could add as much as an additional 75% to her retirement balance. That’s huge!

Who can join?

Child Care Super is the fund behind SUPERSUPER. To access the SUPERSUPER program you do need to join or already be a member of Child Care Super.

SUPERSUPER has been designed primarily to help educators, to ensure that they have the means to build their super account without having to sacrifice anything extra and create the much needed change to their projected retirement super balance, while they do their every-day shopping.

However, the fund is open to anyone including service providers who can also benefit from joining and adding to their super when purchasing for the service.

How do I get started?

Head to the SUPERSUPER website to sign up and get started turning your shopping into super funds!

Five minutes is all it takes, and it all adds up.

You’ll be setting yourself up for a much securer retirement.

So what are you waiting for?!!
