Vice President

Judy Atkinson

Ms Atkinson is the CEO of three companies, Child Care Services Australia, Child Care Services SA and Child Care Services Training Australia. She has been an executive member of Childcare SA (the private peak body in South Australia) since 1984. Ms Atkinson also held the role of President, Vice President and Executive Member over this period.

She is the current Vice President and past President of the private sector federal body, the Australian Childcare Alliance.
Ms Atkinson has been a prime ministerial appointment to two National Childcare Advisory Councils and has been a Board Member of the National Childcare Accreditation Council for five years. She was Telstra Business Woman of the Year – Business Owner in 1998 and recipient of a Centenary Award for services to the Community – Children's Services awarded by the Governor General.

Ms Atkinson has been a teacher with the Education Department and is now focussing on early childhood education and care through her own businesses. Her businesses are responsible for the operation of four long day care centres (two rural and two metropolitan), and an outside school hours care service as well as a registered training organisation.
