The Australian Children's Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA), on behalf of all governments, is coordinating the development of the new ten-year national workforce strategy, which relies heavily on stakeholder and public consultation.
ACA has been advocating heavily for a national workforce strategy on behalf of our members over the last few years via our regular Pre-Budget Submissions to the Australian Government as well as our December 2019 Review of National Agreement for Skills and Workforce Development.
We also contributed to ACECQA's consultations with national sector stakeholders and government representatives. In addition to ACECQA's workforce report findings in 2019, these consulations have shaped the potential actions and initiatives included in the May 2021 consultation paper.
Throughout May 2021, ACECQA is now inviting sector feedback via an online survey.
Whilst ACA will contribute to this consultation phase on behalf of our nation-wide member base, we also encourage individual service providers to complete the survey to provide their own specific feedback and contribute more directly to the consultation process.
ACECQA will analyse all feedback and use it to inform the development of the ten year workforce strategy (2021–30), which is scheduled to be considered by national sector stakeholders, government representatives and Education Ministers in the second half of this year.
Don’t miss this important opportunity to have your say on the future workforce strategy for our sector. You can complete the survey here.
