Your TELUS Health EAP offers you and your fellow team members an award-winning, comprehensive modern Employee Assistance Program (EAP) which offers support to your ongoing health and wellbeing.
In addition to professional counselling and therapy services, LifeWorks offers you ongoing proactive health advice, via a range of interactive digital tools including a mobile app and website resources.
The aim is to destigmatise mental health issues whilst also offering you a more holistic approach to your health supports.

Please note: There is no requirement or expectation for you to use this platform - it is simply here for you should you wish to use it.
It is a free opt-in service available to all staff at your service, to support your overall physical and mental wellbeing.
You have the choice to access whichever services you may like to use, when and how you choose to.
However as the TELUS Health EAP offers such extensive support from professional services at no charge to you, we encourage you to take advantage of it and to tap into those services that are most appealing or useful to you.

The platform works like some other social media platforms; there is an ever-changing newsfeed as well as regular items you can access at any time.

When you make use of the LifeWorks platform, you are sometimes required to provide personal information, in order to get the most out of the service.
Please note that your personal data is private and confidential. Your employer has no access to this data and never will.

There are so many ways you can use your EAP.
You may like to start an individual assessment, access some of the support and resources, organise some counselling sessions or simply take advantage of the retailer discounts.

An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is an external service, paid for by the employer, to ensure their employees and their families have access to professional assistance for personal or work-related issues that may be having an impact on their employment or work performance.
An EAP usually offers all employees with a suite of practical services such as counselling or therapy from psychologists, social workers and other mental health professionals along with practical everyday life support including general health advice and programs. A comprehensive EAP can even include legal services and financial management or debt support.

No - there is no cost to you the employee.
You can access all of the services available to you under the EAP at no charge.
Absolutely not. Any EAP benefits received by employees or their family members remain strictly confidential.
This means that your employer has no insight into an employee's specific use of the service.
Employers do not get to know who is utilizing the service, what the reasons are for, or how often employees call.
This is an important detail, as it means that you - the employee - can trust that you are engaging with a private, confidential service.

PLEASE NOTE: You will be asked which organisation you are calling from - please reply that you are calling from the ACA (Australian Childcare Alliance), as part of the ACA EAP initiative.
You can also have a quick chat via the online platform or app using the online chat tool.
Please be aware that you will be asked how urgent the issue is and either be given immediate support or a counselling appointment will be arranged.
You have free access to three sessions of therapy for an individual issue.
An individual issue may be a life situation such as the death of a loved one, separation of a partnership, a particular trauma event or something more general such as your personal emotional state.
If you would like additional counselling or therapy for a particular issue beyond the three free sessions, you may be referred to an external counselling service. This is something you may wish to discuss during your final session.
