With Early Childhood Educators Day fast approaching, the Australian Childcare Alliance (ACA) is calling on Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) services Australia-wide to save the date and start preparing for this well-loved, national community event.

Early Childhood Educators Day is a wonderful opportunity to recognise and celebrate the work of Australia's early childhood educators working in long day care, community care and kindergarten/preschool services, for their contribution to the wellbeing and healthy development of the young children in their care.

This year Early Childhood Educators Day will take place on Wednesday 6th September.

To help services and families to celebrate the day, ACA has created an Early Childhood Educators Day website which provides some fun ideas and some useful online resources, including posters, 'cut out shapes' for the children to decorate for "appreciation wall/tree" and Certificates of Appreciation to be presented to early childhood educators on the day.

Service providers and families can keep up with the latest Early Childhood Educators Day news by following the Facebook or Twitter pages.

ACA is also giving away from fun prizes during the week of Early Childhood Educators Day, for service providers as well as their families and children.

We encourage ECEC service providers of all types to get involved and let their early childhood educators know how much they are appreciated.

However you choose to celebrate Early Childhood Educators Day, we hope you enjoy the spirit of the day and help to make your early childhood educators feel special.
