The most effective approach to promoting positive mental health is one which involves the whole learning community working together in an inclusive environment: leaders, educators, children, young people, their families and the local community.
A whole learning community approach is about all the members working together to create change.
The support of leadership is the first place to start, and then an Action Team can be formed: a group of individual educators who lead the implementation for the whole learning community with Be You.
The role of the Action Team is to ensure Be You is tailored to meet the needs of your individual learning community.
To register your Learning Community online, an Action Team Leader is required whose role is to encourage collective action with Be You. They have access to Implementation and Planning Tools for a whole learning community approach.
See the Action Team Handbook: Early Learning Services for more information about Action Teams and Action Team Leaders.
Registered Be You Learning Communities have support from a Be You Consultant who works with the Action Team Leader to support implementation with resources, identifying priorities and provide national professional networking opportunities through Be You events.
